Community and Safety Awards Honour Local Residents

We were delighted to recently work with the Witham Neighbourhood Watch Group to sponsor the first Witham Community and Safety Awards.

There are some truly amazing and inspirational people in our town and being able to say thank you to them was a great honour.

We are also pleased to have agreed to run the awards again next year so if you know anyone in our town that you feel should be nominated please email us

We were extremely grateful to Ch Insp Craig Carrington of Essex Police for presenting the awards

Jodie Barden Jodie is the most deserving person I know for the inspirational role model of the year. We all have times when we think we have it tough but this lady lives day to day with challenges we can only imagine. As a Mum to three, soon to be four she has her hands full, but to add to that the fact that her two beautiful daughters have a life limiting Cockayne Syndrome you start to understand how difficult life can be. But Jodie doesn’t let that all get her down, far from it! She works tirelessly to raise money for charity and not just Cockayne Syndrome but also South View and many other good causes while running two small businesses (Ella Bella Events and Chloe Invites You) plus she is the Events Coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce. This lady is truly inspirational and we at the Chamber congratulate her on this well deserved award.

Well done to all those nominated and thank you for what you do for our town
